Just want to give a shout out to one of our members, Stanley Yuan LAc @ BMT Acupuncture. I’ll be the first to admit that I never believed in acupuncture and other “alternative medicines.” With that said, I have suffered for years from extreme pain in my back and neck. I’ve had 5…………5 ! spine surgeries, and have been advised by 3 top surgeons to have a procedure done on my neck as well. I found BMT a little over a year ago, and Stan worked on my neck during my first visit. That is the one and ONLY treatment he has done on my neck ! Of course it bothers me from time to time, but sure as shit beats having a major surgery ! As far as my back goes, it will always be messed up, but a single treatment does the trick for me to make it more bearable for in most cases, weeks at a time.
The most impressive part of Stan’s practice is his knowledge and ability to help treat countless of conditions. He’s not just for pain, as I’ve heard him treat people with anything from sleep apnea, anxiety, gastrointestinal issues, stop smoking and even menopause in women.
If you or a loved one is suffering, I’m telling you to give him a shot.

Dr. Stanley took time to speak to me even before I arrived for my initial consultation and, as a result of his compassion and thoughtfulness, I had a very good feeling about pursuing treatment at BMT Acupuncture. I’m in the midst of undergoing treatment for various health concerns and so far, I am very pleased with my experience. The complimentary massage is also a major bonus! Dr. Stanley is knowledgeable, attentive and caring and the facility, calming and comfortable. I highly recommend BMT and Dr. Stanley for those seeking acupuncture treatment.

I want to thank Dr. Stanley for helping us meet our goal!! We had a healthy 12 week appointment and there are two little bouncing babies growing!! Thank you very much! Getting pregnant and making it past the first trimester was my reason to seek out acupuncture! =)

3 weeks, 3 sessions and I’m already feeling improvement. Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and it is obvious they take pride in and love what they do. Always have an appointment available with a day or 2 and there is never a wait.

I was skeptical to go for acupuncture at first. I have 2 herniated disks (L4 & L5) and suffer from severe sciatic nerve pain. I tried PT & epidural steroid injection– neither method help alleviate the pain. I figured I had nothing to lose by trying acupuncture. I am so happy with my decision!! Dr. Stanley has changed my life. I started to notice an improvement in my pain level after only 2 session. Currently I’ve had a total of 5 sessions and I am experiencing close to no sciatic pain. I do still have mild lower back pain, but thanks to Dr. Stanley I have been able to return to doing my normal daily activities.
In regards to the actual experience at BMT, Dr. Stanley is wonderful at tailoring each session to my exact needs. He strategically places the needles in the areas I experience pain. He then uses cupping therapy in the areas where mv muscles feel tight. After that, there is a complimentary massage, which is nothing short of amazing.
If you are experiencing pain, or discomfort, or if you are looking for overall wellness, I would highly recommend Dr. Stanley.

Dr Stanley is an absolute fine example of a Dr that is driven with a passion to truly help pinpoint and treat people with their specific physical ailment threw Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. With a genuine holistic approach that targets YOUR personal conditions improvement and his friendly 1 on 1 personal care is among the best service ive encountered from any medical professional. I deal with severe muscle spasms and nerve pain in my neck shoulders and back from bulging and herniated neck disks. BMT is a stand out practice and even while your receiving treatment you overhear people raving about their improvement in a relatively short period. Just awesome in every respect!

Just wanna give a HUGE shoutout to Dr Stanley Yuan and BMT Acupuncture ! By far one of the best physicians of any type I’ve ever encountered ( coming from a 5 time spine surgical patient ). He has been able to tremendously relieve my symptoms from spinal stenosis, severe sciatica and carpal tunnel syndrome.

I have been bed ridden for the past few days with a herniated disk and the acupuncture, seeds & cupping treatment you have given me has honestly helped me more than what the orthopedist did for me. I have been suffering from Low back and sciatic pain for the past 2 weeks. Afraid of pain and have a HUGE phobia of needles, but have tried everything else with no success. Stanley was referred to me by a very close friend whom said to have helped her immensely, so I decided to give him a try. Upon entering the office, the atmosphere was very serene and tranquil. I found Stanley and his staff very knowledgeable and experienced. He explained everything in detail to me which put me at ease. He placed something on my ear and on my nose, and the pain decreased within minutes! Felt totally relaxed and maybe even dozed off during the session. After getting off the table, pain was definitely much better. The next morning, woke up PAIN FREE!!! Will definitely be back again this week for follow up and maintenance!

I went to see Stanley today, whom was very nice. I have lot of issues, but couldn’t afford the sessions due to my current financial situation. He was very accommodating and as a result, had suggested to get bodywork done which felt great! I will definitely be back once I have more money saved up.

I haven’t gotten acupuncture and cupping therapy treatment in three years and I decided to go in for cupping therapy last night since I have been feeling the weight of the world on my shoulders. I went into see my friend, Stanley Yuan LAc for cupping therapy. He was thorough and caring through the whole process. After cupping and a massage, I felt a lot of the tension released. If you have not tried either treatment, feel free to call him to discuss which treatment might work for you. He is knowledgeable in both Eastern and Western medicine. Best part is he takes insurance. If you don’t have it, he will work a suitable payment.

I would like to highlight one of our local businesses. Stanley Yuan LAc owner of BMT Acupuncture is wonderful! He is extremely compassionate and amazing with children. If you are looking for an acupuncturist definitely give him a call. He grew up in Oceanside and is now raising his family here. Great person!

I had every test possible for my leg pains and many doctors offered no help. A friend of mine suggested acupuncture after seeing an ad by Stanley. I felt he was a miracle worker. His technique and manner were so soothing I looked forward to my visits to see him.

All I can say is, once again the pain is gone. I used to go to him at his old place after I had back surgery because my strength wasn’t returning to my left arm due to nerve damage and I waited for 3 years, while lifting weights with no progress. After just 4 sessions with Stanley, my bench press was right back to where it should be.
My session today involved pain in my neck and arm, a pain I’m familiar with. Between the acupuncture and the deep tissue massage by one of his massage therapists, the pain is gone.

AMAZING!! What a soothing and relaxing atmosphere! I could not move my neck when I arrived. By the time my session was over, not only could I move my neck, I was completely relaxed. Dr. Stanley is, by far, the best Acupuncturist I ever went to!!

I have been going to Stanley for approximately one year now, and he is amazing!
Stanley is very thorough, caring, accommodating, and knowledgeable of both eastern and western medicine. He is very realistic about what he can or cannot treat, and truly cares if you are experiencing results. For example, I went in when I had a sinus infection; later that day I was almost completely cleared and could breath.
I would definitely recommend Stanley to anyone who has not tried acupuncture before, or someone who is looking to try someone new. The best part is that he accepts insurance, which greatly reduces the cost of acupuncture. I don’t have to pay anything when I see him, how can you beat that. My friend who also sees Stanley does not have insurance that covers acupuncture, but they were able to work something out to make the cost of treatment affordable.
Overall, I highly recommend Stanley, and think everyone should try acupuncture at least once!

I never tried acupuncture before but after 2 foot surgeries and being told by at least 6 doctors that I will have to live with the pain in my foot I decided to try it. WOW. For the first time in 8 years, I was able to wear a shoe with a heel at a formal event and I walk every day pain free. Stanley is amazing and can asses my acupuncture needs perfectly. I hate needles but Stanley is so gentle that I have no problems with the treatment and it’s such a relaxing environment that I look forward to each session. I even fall asleep on the table! I highly recommend BMT and they even accept my insurance!

Hurt my back the other day and was literally on my hands and knees. Went to my PCP and he gave me a prescription for pain killers, which did nothing! A buddy of mine highly recommended BMT Acupuncture. Never had it done before, just the thought of being a pin cushion gives me the chills! Was in excruciating pain, and nothing else worked, so I gave them a shot. (No pun intended). The doctors there were compassionate, understanding and highly experienced!! Literally within minutes, my pain was gone!! I am a believer and highly recommend this place to everyone I come across!

From the get-go, Helen (the office manager) was sincerely warm and courteous. The ease of making an appointment was a BREEZE!! FYI.. they schedule and ensure that each patient gets quality service from the doctors! No overbooking like in medical offices where one has to wait forever to be seen!!! Location was easy to find, since I work out at Synergy (gym next door). Once I entered the office, it was very ZEN! Calming, very spiritual and relaxing!! Dr. Stanley had outstanding bedside manner and answered ALL of my questions and concerns!! I had gone through 3 Acupuncturists in the past, but my experience with this place was AMAZING!! Dr. Stanley knew where all my trouble spots were just by looking at my ear! How cool is that ?!? Overall I was extremely pleased with my visit and plan on going back! Best of all, they are open 7 days / week and accept Insurance!!
